I still believe in Santa and I think little kids should be allowed to as well. Santa stands for kindness and caring and giving and joy and love and the golden rule and all the good things there are. Yes, there’s the gift getting thing, too. I think Santa changes, or should change, as we get older. At least he has for me. He’s no longer a “right jolly old elf”, but a younger man dressed in brown robes and He doesn’t have a long white beard, it’s shorter and brown, but He still stands for kindness and caring and giving and joy and love and the golden rule and all the good things there are. And there is still the gift giving thing. He gave us the best gift ever. He gave us eternal life.
So, yes, I do believe in Santa, but I call Him Jesus now.
As we begin this holiday season, please remember the reason it all started and pause, just a minute, the say thank you for the gift.
Merry Christmas to one and all.
